Dubai Metro to reopen line between DMCC, IBN Battuta

Dubai Metro has announced that passengers travelling between DMCC to IBN Battuta will no longer need to head to the free bus transport bays as the red line will reopen its routes very soon.

Starting April 19, Friday, the trains will travel once again through DMCC directly heading towards IBN Battuta. However, the Nakheel Harbor and Tower will remain closed until further notice.

In 2018, the Nakheel Harbor and Tower area closed off as the construction for the Route 2020 link began.

“RTA was keen to provide free shuttle buses between DMCC and Ibn Battuta Stations throughout the closure of the two metro stations to ensure the smooth mobility of riders and not inconveniencing them with construction works underway between the two stations. The step echoes RTA’s vision of providing safe and smooth transport for all,” said RTA Rail Agency Director of Rail Operations Mohammed Yousef Al Mudharreb.

The free bus shuttle service will remain operational until Thursday, April 18.
