WAM, The Filipino Times unite in news coverage to reach wider audience

WAM, Dubai, UAE: The Filipino Times (TFT) has discussed means of cooperation with the Emirates News Agency (WAM), benefiting from the latter’s expertise in obtaining wider dissemination of information.

During the meeting, the two sides focused on enriching content creation, highlighting the UAE’s emphasis on tolerance and cultural co-existence. They also reviewed means to advance the coordination of information and content of interest to the Filipino community residing in the UAE.

The delegation from TFT was likewise briefed about the Agency’s various departments, latest technologies and programmes.

Mohammed Jalal Al Rayssi, Executive Director of WAM, emphasized the importance of cooperating with various media outlets across multiple languages and platforms.

“This visit presents an opportunity to enhance cooperation between WAM and The Filipino Times, ensuring the exchange of news,” he added.

They also covered means of collaboration across various areas including digital media, and exchange of news materials dealing with the UAE’s initiatives and accomplishments in its development journey, including emphasis on tolerance, co-existence, workers’ rights, and human rights developments.

Karen Remo, Partner and Managing Director of New Perspective Media and owner of the paper, said, “WAM continues its long history of professionalism.”

She adds that this visit would open new avenues for cooperation and would further enhance news content for The Filipino Times, a 360-degree media company that targets Filipinos in the UAE and the wider GCC region.
