Houthi rebels fired a missile at a United Arab Emirates ship leaving the port of Al Mokha in Yemen injuring one crew member on Thursday.
The attack was reported by the Saudi news agency SPA. The ship did not sustain any damage, according to the SPA report.
A Houthi-run broadcast media reported that a Saudi-led coalition ship was hit by a missile.
The UAE ship was reportedly in Yemen to deliver medical supplies and equipment in response to a cholera outbreak in the country.
UAE’s armed forces said it will pursue the attackers of the ship.
Houthi rebels, who are led by Zaidi Shiites from northern Yemen, overthrew the government of President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi and forced him into exile. The Saudi military is leading a coalition of Arab countries in fighting the rebels to restore Hadi’s government.
