A Filipina teen has proven her swimming abilities after she successfully clinched five gold and one bronze medals in the 2019 United Nations International School (UNIS) Invitational Swimming Championship held in Vietnam.
Micaela Jasmine Mojdeh, from Brent International School-Laguna, claimed the Most Outstanding Swimmer award in the girls’ 13-year-old category, says a report from The Manila Times.
The gold medals she earned were from the 200-meter freestyle event, 100-meter Individual Medley, 50-meter butterfly, 50-meter breaststroke, and 100-meter butterfly.
She got her bronze medal together with her teammates in the 200-meter medley relay.
Meanwhile, the White siblings, who are products of the Philippine Swimming League’s (PSL) grassroots program, also made a big splash in the competition.
Heather clinched three gold medals in the girls’ 12-year class while Ruben had two golds and two silvers in the boys’ 14-year division.
Hannah, the youngest among them, added a silver for the 50-meter freestyle in the girls’ 7-year class.
