A week after she was arrested by authorities, the female suspect in Jang Lucero slay case was released on July 9 due to lack of evidence for her involvement in the crime.
The Calamba City prosecutor’s office, according to GMA News, dismissed the murder complaint filed against Ann Sheila Belarmino.
She was detained at the Calamba City Police Station after her arrest last July 2, in connection with the murder case.
The police said they identified her as the woman with a back tattoo in CCTV footage that was taken before Lucero’s death.
The victim was found lifeless with 52 stab wounds inside a rental car parked along Bucal ByPass Road in the evening of June 28.
