Tattoo in Facebook photos led to arrest of suspect in Calamba driver slay case

Calamba police were able to identify and arrest one of the suspects in the brutal killing of Jang Lucero, a female driver, thanks to the back tattoo of the suspect.
Ann Sheila Montes Belarmino was earlier identified by witnesses as one of the three passengers of the 34-year-old victim as seen on CCTV footage taken before the crime happened in the evening of June 28.
The police confirmed Belarmino’s identity after spotting her back tattoo on the video.
In an open-source intelligence investigation, it matched the tattoo seen in some of Belarmino’s photos on her Facebook account.
According to a report of GMA News, Belarmino was the ex-girlfriend of Lucero’s present partner.
“Si Anne ay allegedly may konting selos dun sa biktima. Siya mismo yung sumakay sa saksakyan ng biktima and napaka-importante na na-identify siya dahil siya mismo yung kasama nung mga sumaksak sa biktima,” GMA news quoted a police official as saying.
The suspect is currently detained at the Calamba City Police Station. Police are still tracking down the whereabouts of the other suspects behind Lucero’s death.
Lucero reportedly lost her job due to the coronavirus pandemic. She was moonlighting as a rent-a-car driver at the time of her death.
She was found lifeless with 52 stab wounds inside a rental car parked along Bucal ByPass Road.
