UAE Vice President grants Golden Visa to 212 doctors

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has granted 10-year Golden Visas to 212 doctors of various specialisations working for the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), in appreciation of their utmost bravery and dedication in the country’s fight against the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
His Highness also expressed his full confidence that the UAE will overcome the crisis brought by the global pandemic thanks to the strong solidarity between various segments of society in the face of challenges.
On behalf of all doctors at DHA, Director General of the Dubai Health Authority Humaid Al Qutami praised His Highness’ directive, saying that the initiative reflects the Vice President’s keenness to support medical personnel in the country.
This, he said, will boost their morale and encourage them to exert more efforts in providing the highest quality of medical care for COVID-19 patients.
The full support of the wise leadership for the all medical practitioners in the country, Al Qutami added, has helped establish a strong healthcare system, which is now paying off with the UAE’s robust response to stifle the outbreak.
Announced last year, the Golden Visa is granted to doctors, scientists, innovators, researchers, investors, and entrepreneurs in various fields.
