San Juan’s Police Force found four of their members positive for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) following a mass testing on their entire police force comprising of 345 officers.
Reports from GMA News state that the mass testing is a welcome development for the city’s authorities and hope that such tests would be done regularly to keep track of their frontliners.
“Yung mga iba, once tested and given the result that they are negative, parang tumama sa lotto. They are very happy,” said San Juan City Police chief Colonel Jaime Santos, as per reports from GMA News.
Meanwhile, Department of Health Secretary Francisco Duque reminded the public to remain cautious even if the curve of the coronavirus disease was already flattening.
“Mahirap natin sabihin hanggang kailan ito. Dahil alam naman natin ‘yung mga ibang bansa kagaya ng South Korea nag-second wave. Singapore nag-second wave din,” Duque said during his inspection of the COVID-19 mass testing center in San Juan.
