The Dubai Economy reminds the public that donations within the emirate should only come from authorized charitable organizations.
Under the newly announced precautions, restrictions and protocols during the Ramadan period, individuals are advised to redirect their personal donations to Dubai’s official charitable organizations or be under the direct supervision of government entities if they are to conduct mass donations.
“No food should be donated or given directly to any person outside the household, except mass donations under the direct supervision of charity and government entities. Donations should be done through authorized charity bodies only,” said the announcement.

Families in Dubai that live on separate areas are also urged not to share food to minimize risks of transmission, but in case it still occurs, the food should immediately be transferred to their containers at home.
“It is not advised to share food within family members living in different houses to minimize transmission risk, however, when receiving food from family or friends the food items should be carefully transferred to home containers,” as per the official announcement.
