The Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services is now employing single-patient isolation EpiShuttles to transfer patients with severe cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19 to hospital.
In a tweet, the Dubai Media Office explained that this will ensure the maximum protection of their paramedic staff against contracting the respiratory disease.
The move is in line with the measures to keep the safety and well-being of health workers who are serving in the frontline to combat the coronavirus pandemic.
EpiShuttle is a bubble shelter that acts as a medical isolation and transportation system.
It was developed by Norway to help countries worst-affected by the Ebola outbreak in 2014.
