COVID-19 recoveries in UAE rise to 1,360

The UAE has recorded 74 fully recovered coronavirus disease (COVID-19), bringing the total number of recoveries to 1,360 as of April 20.
Dr. Farida Al Hosani, spokesperson for the UAE health sector, said on Monday that among 25,795 additional tests conducted in the country, some 484 people tested positive.
This brings the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country to 7,265.
The health department also announced Monday the death of two Asian nationals due to complications of COVID-19. As of this posting, the number of COVID-19 deaths in the UAE stands at 43.
The health department also assured the public that no patient is allowed to leave the hospital until the result of a confirmatory test of their full recovery from COVID-19 comes out negative.
“All health facilities in the country have been warned that no patient with the disease will be discharged unless it is certain that they have fully recovered and have no symptoms. The approved health procedure after the patient has left the hospital is to remain at home for 14 days after treatment,” Al Hosani said.
