PH Health Secretary Duque now on self-quarantine

The country’s top health official, Secretary Francisco Duque, has decided to go on self-quarantine following the Department of Health’s confirmation that one of its high-ranking official tested positive for the coronavirus disease or COVID-19.
Duque is currently in a work from home set up and asymptomatic.

“Yes, Sec Duque is on home quarantine, but currently asymptomatic. He has already been tested for COVID 19 test as he is Asthmatic and Hypertensive. He is now doing work from home,” Health spokesperson Ma. Rosario Vergeire told reporters.
The DOH previously confirmed that one of its top official tested positive for the virus.

“DOH assures its employees that their safety and health is a top priority. Offices have been disinfected and close contacts informed so that they can immediately undergo home quarantine and strict monitoring,” the DOH said in a statement.
