No mass transport during enhanced community quarantine

Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles said there will be no mass transportation during the enhanced community quarantine in Luzon.
The stringent measure will take effect starting midnight of Tuesday, March 17, 2020 12MN until midnight of April 13, 2020.
“Mass transportation including MRT, LRT, bus, jeep, and taxi will be suspended to restrict the movements of the people,” Nograles said in a press briefing.
Land, air, and sea travels will likewise be restricted.
“Those exempted may use private vehicles,” he said.

A work-from-home arrangement will be implemented in the executive branch except the PNP, AFP, PCG, health, and emergency frontline services and other critical services.

Nograles added that local government units will provide the means of transportation for those workers who are exempted from quarantine.
He added that mass gatherings shall be prohibited, and movement will be limited to accessing basic necessities.
Meanwhile, the movement of cargoes within, coming to and from the entire Luzon, shall be unhampered.
The Department of Transportation will formulate guidelines for the accompanying crew or personnel transiting cargoes.
