A female overseas Filipino worker (OFW) from Sarangani province exhibited symptoms of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) but managed to escape from authorities without having herself tested, according to a GMA News report.
The OFW, the Sarangani Provincial Health Office said, arrived in the Philippines last February 29, and went straight to the town of Glan in Sarangani with her 10-year-old child.
But she left and may be on her way to Japan without checking in with health authorities.
Her child, however, is under observation for symptoms of COVID-19.
Officials already sent word to the Bureau of Quarantine so the OFW in question can be included in the watchlist.
