His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces is celebrating his 59th birthday today, March 11, and among those who greeted him on his special day is His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid said that HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed’s legacy is witnessed by history that testifies his generosity and wished his fellow leader to live well.
“You are honorable and history testifies that you are generous. May God bless you and grant you long life, to celebrate and live with peace,” tweeted His Highness.

Prior to his current positions, HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed also held positions including being an officer in the UAE’s elite security force, the Amiri Guard, and also served as a pilot for the UAE’s Air force.

His Highness also spearheaded several initiatives and partnerships with world-class educational institutions during his stint as the Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Education Council.
The Crown Prince is interested in several other activities, including cycling and the Nebari style of poetry when he attends recitals. His Highness is also keen on falconry and hunting, two hobbies that he inherited from his father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founding father of the UAE.
To date, His Highness has over 3.1 million followers on Twitter, making him one of the most followed Arab leaders in the Middle Eastern region.
