The Department of Health has confirmed 9 new cases of the coronavirus disease or COVID 19.
“The Department of Health (DOH) reported 9 additional confirmed cases of COVID-19. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 33,” the DOH said in a statement.

On Monday night, President Rodrigo Duterte announced that there were 24 cases of COVID-19 in the Philippines. Two of them were in critical condition, according to Health Secretary Francisco Duque.
Duque confirmed that two individuals are currently incubated and are in critical condition — one Filipino and one American. They both have pre-existing conditions.

“It looks like more and more data that come in show that most of the cases are actually mild cases, 80 to 85%,” Duque added.
Earlier, the DOH reported 11 additional cases, for a total of 35. They later clarified that two of those cases were just repeated tests.
