Filipinos to undergo thermal screening prior entry at PH Embassy in UAE

Filipinos planning to visit the embassy for their passport or consular requirements will be subject to thermal screening as part of the preventive efforts against COVID-19, beginning today – March 8.
A post from the Philippine Embassy in the UAE outlined several steps such as thermal screening, wearing of face masks, application of hand sanitizers and more. Here they are:
– All incoming clients will undergo thermal screening. Those with temperatures higher than 37C will be advised to return to the Embassy at a later date and will be advised to consult with a physician.
– Clients who have been given entry but show other symptoms such as coughing and/or sneezing will be requested to wear a face mask within the premises.

– All clients will be requested to apply hand sanitizers provided at the reception area before they proceed to Embassy transaction areas/counters. Hand sanitizers have been placed at several service counters and windows as well.
– Only applicants will be allowed entry, except for minors that need to be accompanied by their parents/guardians. Other family members, employers, escorts will be advised to wait outside the premises.

The Embassy also reminded Filipinos to follow the UAE government’s advise to avoid large gatherings and crowds, take necessary preventive measures on their own, and to monitor advisories released by the UAE’s Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) and the World Health Organization (WHO) to ensure their safety.
