A man locked down his wife in their bathroom over fears that she may be carrying the deadly coronavirus.
In an AFP report, the Lithuania police said that they intervened on the couple’s dispute.
“We got the report that a husband and two adult sons refused to let the woman out of the bathroom after she told them that she could have contracted the coronavirus,” the police said.
The woman said that her husband thought she had been infected with the virus after she had a conversation with a person from abroad.
“Police officers arrived, there was no violence, no complaint, therefore an ambulance was called,” the police spokesman told AFP.
Reports said that the woman tested negative for coronavirus.
There is only one infected case of Covid-19 in Lithuania.
The patient came from Verona, northern Italy where the highest number of confirmed cases in Europe was recorded.
