House Deputy Speaker Paolo Duterte said that television giant ABS-CBN should not worry over its franchise renewal bid because all members will have a say on it.
Insiders from the lower house revealed that the presidential son silently opposed bills renewing the franchise of the Kapamilya network.
“Right now, I am leaving it to the committee and ultimately, to all the members of the House of Representatives to decide on this matter,” Paolo said.
“At the end of the day, I am just one vote. Let’s wait for that day. ABS-CBN should not worry about my position on this, because I will do my job to the best of my ability,” Paolo added.
He added that the television network should be patient on their franchise renewal.
Paolo’s opposition on the renewal franchise is contrary to what his sister expressed previously, which states she is fully supporting the franchise renewal of the Kapamilya network.
