The Philippine Consulate in Hong Kong has confirmed that the first Filipina domestic helper who tested positive for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is getting better.
In a statement released by Philippine Consul General Raly Tejada, the Filipina worker is now cleared from the virus and currently waiting for the hospital to discharge her.
“The Filipino household worker who tested positive for COVID-19 has informed the Philippine Consulate that all her tests turned out negative Sunday, as she remains healthy,” Tejada said in a statement.
The 32-year-old Filipina is the 52nd confirmed case of COVID-19 in Hong Kong.
In the same statement, the Hong Kong Health Department says that three more Filipinos have been released from the 14-day quarantine period due to their possible exposure to the virus.
