A 72-year-old woman died at an evacuation center in Sto. Tomas, Batangas on Monday.
According to a report by Dobol B on GMA News TV, the fatality was identified as Zenaida Ortilla from Talisay, Batangas.
Zenaida was already bedridden at the time Taal volcano spewed smoke and ash.
The Ortilla family, who evacuated from Talisay last week, is asking authorities for permission to bury her remains there.
However, the town is still under lockdown due to the ongoing threat from the volcano.
Last Saturday, 57-year-old Felina de Roxas an evacuee from San Nicolas also suffered a sudden cardiac death at an evacuation center in San Pascual, Batangas.
Also on Saturday, 70-year-old Benny Mendoza died of heart attack inside an evacuation center in Alfonso, Cavite, according to a separate report by Manila Bulletin.
There were already four deaths recorded as a result of the volcano eruption.
