Singapore Science Centre Observatory has livestreamed the annular eclipse.
The phenomenon happens when the moon is farthest from Earth.
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said that the eclipse was seen in parts of the Middle East like Saudi Arabia, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Oman, India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Northern Mariana Islands, Guam on December 26.
PAGASA added that the best place to witness the eclipse will be in the Philippines is in Balut and Batulaju, Sarangani Island, Davao Occidental.
Manila and Quezon City, Aparri, Cagayan; Laoag, Ilocos Norte; Legazpi City, Albay; Puerto Princesa, Palawan; Mactan, Cebu and General Santos City would only be able to see a partial only see a partial solar eclipse.
In Manila, the Bedan Society of Young Astronomers provides free public solar telescope viewing of the partial solar eclipse at the Kartilya ng Katipunan, just outside Manila City Hall.
