It is almost close to its end – the remarkable Harrison Plaza will be demolished by the end of December 2019 after 43 years in the scene of Malate, Manila.
Its loyal patrons were saddened upon the closing of the premier shopping mall as it resonated with fond memories of their good old days.
The said demolition will give way to the proposed residential building and shopping complex to be established in the seven-hectare area under the management of SM Prime Holdings, as per a report from the Philippine Daily Inquirer.
Harrison Plaza was once popular among the tourists with its department store and four film theaters.
However, the stores closed due to tight competition between the newly-opened shopping malls, PEP.ph reported.
The complex was used as the location for the MMFF 2019 film entry, ‘The Mall, The Merrier’ starring Vice Ganda and Anne Curtis before its official closing.
