UAE’s Emirates Red Crescent donates P500,000 to save Filipina mother, newborn

The UAE’s Emirates Red Crescent has saved the life of a young Filipina and her newborn by shouldering their hospitalization bill and other necessary medical care.

The Filipina mother, who was only identified as “Rosa” in the report of the Manila Bulletin, delivered her baby in a premature birth on November 15.

Due to financial difficulty, the family sought the help of the UAE Embassy in the Manila.

Ambassador Hamad Saeed Al Zaabi endorsed the family’s letter to the ERC, requesting for financial help on the hospitalization of the mother and child.

The ERC pledged assistance worth P500,000 to cover for the hospitalization bill as well as other medicare care to ensure that the Filipina, a resident of Pasig City, and her new bundle of joy will live.

In a thank you letter to the UAE Embassy, Rosa expressed her utmost appreciation to the significant assistance of the Embassy, headed by Al Zaabi, and the ERC.

In her letter, she said that her baby is now a “feeder-grower”, a good sign that her baby is now in stable condition.
