A Dubai criminal court sentenced an Asian man to three in prison and ordered his deportation from the country after he was convicted of killing his roommate.
The unnamed jobless man confessed to beating up his friend for sleeping on his bed but that he did not intend to kill him.
Workers in Al Quoz industrial zone found the victim’s body just outside the room and called the police, newspapers said.
The defendant realized he killed his roommate only when he woke up in the morning after he saw many people in the area.
He fled after he was told his friend was dead.
“The killer realized that he had killed him… Police later found him and arrested him,” Emarat Alyoum daily said.
