CBCP president asks prayers for VP Robredo as anti-drug czar

Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines President and Davao Archbishop Romulo Valles has encouraged devotees to pray for Vice President Leni Robredo that she may be successful in her new role as anti-drug czar.

“I always presume the good intention of all people, and in this case, she is the head of the campaign (against illegal drugs). Now, let us pray for her that she can bring in her skills and her vision. It is always moving up and moving up,” Inquirer quoted the CBCP head as saying in Cebu.

Robredo took on the role of anti-drug czar last November 4 following her criticisms on the senseless killings arising from the government’s war on drugs campaign, and on offer of the Duterte administration for her to take the job.
