Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Cadet 4th Class Darwin Dormitorio died at the hands od his upperclassmen because of a missing pair of boots.
“Yun po ang reason, yung boots po belongs to Cadet First Class Sanupao. In-entrust po sa care ni Cadet Dormitorio, nawala po ito at in-endorse po ni Cadet Sanupao si Cadet Dormitorio doon sa dalawang Third Class… Cadet Imperial and Cadet Lumbag,” Baguio Police Chief Colonel Allen Rae Co said in a phone interview.
The police chief that the story came from the witnesses on Dormitorio’s death.
The PMA tagged Cadet Third Class Shalimar Imperial and Cadet Third Class Felix Lumbag as having direct involvement on Dormitorio’s hazing.
Cadet First Class Axl Rey Sanupao on the other hand allegedly encouraged the idea of maltreating Dormitorio.
The three of them were dismissed from the military academy and will face charges for violating anti-hazing law. (Trish Tan)
