The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) has started processing 556,000 rebate claims of its qualified members.
The announcement was made after OWWA launched its rebate website where OFWs can check if they are qualified for the rebate program.
The OWWA Rebate Portal allows OFWs to check their eligibility for the program.
They can also set an appointment at the nearest OWWA office to process their benefit.
Qualified members are those who have been OWWA members for at least 10 years and have made five or more contributions until December 2017.
“Qualified beneficiaries need to present an appointment code that will be sent via SMS, to their chosen OWWA Regional Welfare Office, including other documentary requirements for verification,” OWWA said in a statement.
Qualified OFWs may be able to claim P941.25 up to P13,177.50 based on the number of their contributions, OWWA added.
