His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Federal Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has ordered the release of a woman’s husband who was jailed due to unsettled and unpaid debts.
The Emirati woman sought the help of the Sharjah ruler in a local TV station show.
The woman called in to the show where His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan was listening.
His Highness called the Commander-in-Chief of the Sharjah Police to resolve the issue.
After almost an hour, the husband was released and reunited with his family.
Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi told Khaleej Times that he received a call from His Highness Sheikh Sultan at around 3pm, directing him to solve the problem of the woman.
At exactly at 4 in the afternoon, the woman’s husband returned home.
The husband went to the police office the next day and got the chance to talk to His Highness, who gave him pieces of advice on maintaining financial stability.
