President Rodrigo Duterte is in Beijing, China to meet with President Xi Jinping and discuss, among others, the arbitral ruling on the South China Sea.
Duterte arrived late Wednesday evening at 11:10 pm, as per a report from GMA News.
He is accompanied by government officials including Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin, Jr., Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea, Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez III, Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana, Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez, Science and Technology Secretary Fortunato Dela Peña and Energy Secretary Alfonso Cusi.
Duterte is also expected to raise the issue of the Code of Conduct among countries that have claims in the disputed waters, something that he said China could be delaying.
