The victory of Pasig Mayor-elect Vico Sotto against incumbent Mayor Bobby Eusebio made headlines after the young Sotto ends the three-decade rule of the Eusebio family in the city.
Sotto, a councilor who had only served for one term, has an 87,000-vote lead against Eusebio. He received 208,548 votes, while Eusebio received 121,032.
People were also captivated by Sotto’s win and his ‘charisma’ which he inherited from his celebrity parents Vic Sotto and Coney Reyes.
An eligible bachelor some netizens wonder if Sotto has time for his love affairs. In an interview the 29 year-old mayor-elect says with the tasks at hand he doesn’t have the time for it.
“Wala talagang time. ‘Pag may free time ako, mas gusto ko pang matulog o magpahinga na lang,” Sotto said.
The Pasig Mayor-elect also said that he is comfortable being single in order to focus on his tasks as mayor.
“For now and for the foreseeable future. Tingnan na lang natin. Diyos na bahala na kung papano mangyayari,” he added.
