Filipino motorists as well as other expats on the road now have another shot to get better rates at the fines that they have incurred over the period of six months, but with a certain condition.
The Ajman Police have announced that motorists who avoid traffic violations for six successive months will have their fines slashed by 50 percent.
Major General Sheikh Sultan Bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of Ajman Police, said the move comes in implementation of the directives of H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, to observe the Year of Tolerance, as per a report from WAM.
He noted that motorists who avoid committing violations from January 1st to June 1st, 2019, would avail of the discount in July this year, explaining that decision will cover all traffic violations committed by the erring car owner in the emirate last year.
Al Nuaimi urged motorists to abide by the traffic rules to avoid accidents and hefty fines.
