Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development HE Noura Al Kaabi recently met with Ambassador Hjayceelyn Quintana to discuss ways on how the UAE and the Philippines can work together to develop stronger cultural ties.
An Instagram post from the official account of the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development (@mckduae) posted about Quintana’s courtesy call as both the UAE and the Philippines aim to discuss ways and means of cooperation.
The courtesy call happens a few weeks prior to the historic Papal Visit to the UAE, of which Filipinos are amongst the majority when it comes to the members of the faithful.
In an interview with ARN News, Al Kaabi said that she looks forward to the Papal visit and is also planning a pre-event that will people of different faiths converge to show to the world that the UAE is a place where tolerance and unity resides. “That is a visit we are also excited about. We are working on a pre event that will gather communities from the UAE, whether they’re Muslims or Christians to celebrate that visit. At the end of the day, maybe we are differentiated by religion yet we have in common the values that we share in peace and harmony,” said Al Kaabi.
