A former overseas Filipino worker (OFW) was arrested during an anti-drug operations in Zamboanga City.
Chief Insp. Ramon Bautista, Police Station 8 chief, said that the suspect, identified as 50-year-old Sirilin Hadjiula alias Inda, was arrested in a buy-bust operation around 3:40 p.m. along Mayor Climaco Avenue, Barangay Zone 4 in Zamboanga City.
One large-sized plastic sachet suspected shabu worth PHP340,000 and PHP500 marked money were seized from Hadijula.
Another suspect linked to the former OFW was arrested in a buy-bust operation by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) around 10:10 a.m. Thursday in Acacia Drive, Upper Calarian in the same city.
Two large-sized plastic sachets of suspected shabu worth PHP117,000 and PHP500 marked money were seized from Gaber Najan.
The two suspects were detained at the Police Station 8 headquarters pending the filing of charges against them.
