A fire sparked at one of the restaurants inside the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 on Friday, November 23.
According to Connie Bungag, head of Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) Public Affairs, the fire started in one of the restaurants at the arrival area of the airport, reported Inquirer.
Bungag added that the fire was easily extinguished even before the arrival of firefighters.
The authorities at the airport are still investigating the cause of the fire.
It is believed that the one of the exhaust fans at the restaurant short-circuited. Another angle investigated is a possible electrical problem in the restaurant’s broiler system.
