Dubai residents who will pay their electric, water, and other utilities and services online this week will get a chance to get a full refund.
The refund is in line with the week-long initiative “Week Without Service Centres”, where around 40 Dubai government departments’ customer service centers can only be accessed online until Thursday, October 25.
Those who would pay their bills and transact with Dubai government agencies online would get a chance to receive a 100 percent refund of their payment.
The residents who will receive the refund will be selected by the Department of Finance (DoF) through an electronic draw every day until October 25, the last day of the initiative.
The winners will be informed through a text message and the refund will be sent to the account used for the transaction.
The participating government agencies can be accessed from the comfort of one’s phone or tablet through their website or apps. They can be accessed in smart kiosks across the emirate as well.
