A Filipina maid in Dubai who sexually assaulted her employer’s son will spend more time in prison after the Dubai Court of Appeal doubled its sentence against her from three months in jail to six.
Before the court, the mother said that she discovered a redness in her son’s skin after he complained of feeling pain. Thinking it was simply a rash, the mother only applied cream to the affected area, reported The National.
The mother later on overheard a conversation between her son and her mother (her son’s grandmother). Her son revealed that the 33-year old Filipina maid had been sexually touching him which caused the pain.
After discovering this, the mother brought her son to the hospital where the doctors confirmed that her son had been sexually abused.
The maid was immediately arrested by the authorities after the release of the medical results.
The maid denied the allegations and was sentenced to three months in prison to be followed by deportation.
Following the appeal from the prosecution, the sentence was doubled to six months in prison.
She will be deported after serving time.
