A 30-year-old Asian man claimed he was only hungry after being arrested for stealing different items from bags of passengers at an airport in Dubai.
Surveillance cameras at the scene showed that the staff was inserting his hands inside an unlocked luggage and checked its contents, reported Al Khaleej.
During interrogation, however, the staff denied stealing luxury items and said that he was only looking for biscuits inside the bag for being hungry.
However, the authorities said that the staff also stole a cell phone worth Dh150 from a suitcase, Dh80 cash from another one, as well as chocolate and biscuits.
The prosecution has submitted the case to the court for further hearing.
