The second quarter survey of the Social Weather Stations (SWS) reported that 32 percent of Filipinos said that their lives have improved.
The survey was conducted by subtracting those who think their lives have worsened from those who think their lives have improved. This resulted in a net score of +5, which is classified by SWS as “high.”
This is 15 points below the “excellent” +20 in March 2018, reported Manila Bulletin.
Those who said that their lives have improved are significantly lower compared to the first semester of 2018. Respondents from Metro Manila resulted in a -23 score drop from +24 (excellent) in March. The net scores of the rest of Luzon also decreased from +21 (excellent) in March to +9 (high) in June.
The net score in Visayas fell from +3 (high) in March to -11 in June. While it also declined in Mindanao, from +29 (excellent) in March to +14 (very high) in June.
The survey was conducted from June 27 to 30 among 1,200 respondents all over the country.
