Kathryn Yu, fiancée of Senate President Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III, confirmed on Wednesday, May 16, that she will tie the knot with the senator this year.
Yu, who was asked when wedding bells will ring for her and Pimentel, said the wedding will be happening soon.
“Malapit na,” Yu told ABS-CBN News.
Pimentel’s fiancée did not confirm any date but nodded and smiled when asked if it will be before the filing of candidacy for senatoriables in October.
Yu, head of the newly formed PDP-Laban Cares, also expressed hopes to be addressed as “Mrs. Pimentel” in the next State of the Nation Address.
Meanwhile, Pimentel was surprised when asked about the details of the wedding but confirmed that Senate reporters will get an invitation once details have been set.
Pimentel was previously married to Bb. Pilipinas-Universe 1998 Jewel May Lobaton until their separation in May 2012.
The two were married for 12 years and have two sons.
