10 foreigners, 4 crew rescued after motor banca capsized in El Nido waters

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) rescued 10 foreigners and 4 crew members after their boat motor banca sunk in the waters of Matinloc Island in El Nido, Palawan on Sunday, April 8.

According to the captain of the boat Tame Boy, the motor banca was bound to Hidden Beach when they decided to cancel the trip midway due to strong current, reported ABS-CBN News.

However, the anchor line of the boat was cut off which caused the boat to be carried by the current and eventually, to be submerged into the water.

Despite the harsh current situation, no one sustained any injuries from the incident.
