Senator Manny Pacquiao gifted 97 poor families with free housing units in Malungon, Saranggani Province.
77 houses were already turned over last week while the remaining 20 units will be awarded by the senator soon in another event.
According to Malungon Mayor Theresa Constantino, the beneficiaries of these humble units were selected “homeless” residents who have qualified the “MP Pahahay Project” of senator Pacquiao.
She also said that the construction of these single and duplex houses was personally funded by the senator.
“This is out of the goodness of his heart and by the grace of God. We are really grateful for this project,” she added.
The free housing units were built on a 1.5-hectare land in Barangay Poblacion. Aside from the housing units, a community plaza, playground and other facilities will also be constructed at the site.
