UAE shops have until the end of the end of the year to comply with The Ministry of Economy’s announcement regarding the additional language to be added in receipts.
Recognizing that not all UAE residents are English-speakers, the Ministry of Economy announced the addition of the Arabic language in receipts.
About 80 percent of shops around the country have adopted the ministry’s project since it was implemented in 2013.
But by 2018, the rule becomes mandatory for all establishments in the UAE, Arabic newspaper Al Ittihad reported.
