Domestic worker-specific recruitment agencies in the UAE will soon offer a variety of packages to allow employers select their preferred services.
The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization said Tadbeer service centers will serve as a mediator between domestic workers and customers.
“Customers select preferred domestic workers from a list of 19 different categories. Tadbeer centers shall act as a mediator and offer the highest level of contracting agency,” said Human Resources and Emiratization Minister Saqr Ghobash.
As mediators, Tabeer service centers will ensure that domestic workers will acquire high quality visa and training and education.
Tadbeer will also conduct pre-arrival interviews to explain workers’ contractual rights and assess housing and accommodation.
The center will also serve to resolve disputes between workers and employees.
Tadbeer has received initial approval to operate 40 centers across the country operating under a public-private partnership plan. The ministry is working with overseas counterparts to iron out agreements concerning recruitment processes.
