A Filipino boxer is now the new World Boxing Organization (WBO) bantamweight champion.
Johnriel Casimero knocked out South African boxer Zolani Tete in the third round of their title bout at the Arena Birmingham in Birmingham, England.
Casimero surprised Tete in the middle of the third round when he hit him with a huge right hand that knocked down the defending champion, says a report by Philippine Star.
Casimero is the three-division world champion with 29 wins, 4 losses with 20 knock outs.
He now joins in the list of Filipino fighters with secured belts in three weight classes. They are Manny Pacquaio, Nonito Donaire Jr. and Donnie Nietes.
