Personal issues back in the United States (US) may delay Filipino-American professional basketball player Andray Blatche’s arrival in the Philippines in time for the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup buildup.
Gilas’ head coach Yeng Guiao said Blatche needed to attend a court hearing for a child custody case.
He is set to return to the country on July 8 to 12 or 13. He is also expected to be included in the final roster for the World Cup when Guiao will make the announcement on Monday.
Blatche has been missing in action for three games after he served his three-game suspension after he figured in a brawl between Gilas and Australia in 2018.
