Filipino tennis tournament kicks off in Bahrain

A tennis tournament organized by the Filipino Club Tennis Group (FCTG) has officially started with 16 teams competing for titles in two divisions.

Sponsored by Grand Safir Hotel Bahrain and sanctioned by the Bahrain Tennis Federation, the 15th FCTG Team Tennis Tournament 2019 recently held its opening ceremonies at BTF’s grounds in Bahrain Polytechnic, Isa Town.

Notable officials attended the opening event including His Excellency Alfonso Ver, Philippine Ambassador to Bahrain; Henadzi Pasichny, Managing Director at Grand Safir Hotel Bahrain; Amin El Sharkawi, Resident Coordinator at United Nations; and Fuad Al Rowei, General Secretary at BTF.

Each team is composed of 10 regular players and three reserves which will battle until June.
