Sara Duterte seeks justice for Quiboloy, SMNI

Vice President Sara Duterte expresses her support to FBI most wanted and alleged sexual trafficker Apollo Quiboloy and his network Sonshine Media Network Inc. or SMNI.

In a statement, Duterte said Quiboloy deserves a fair trial and he must given his day in court.

Duterte believes that the current investigation against Quiboloy is not fair.

The Dutertes are close allies of the religious leader. Former President Rodrigo Duterte was previously named as caretaker of the assets of SMNI.

Senators have cited Quiboloy in contempt for skipping the hearings of Senator Risa Hontiveros.

Senators Robin Padilla, Cynthia Villar, Imee Marcos, Bong Go, and Mark Villar tried to block the contempt order but failed to reach the number of signatures needed.
