In an exclusive report with Variety, Korean girl group BLACKPINK member Lisa will be making her acting debut in the HBO show “White Lotus” under her given name Lalisa Manobal.
Following BLACKPINK Jennie (Jennie Ruby Jane) who became part of “The Idol” in 2023, she is the second member to appear in an HBO series. The location is set to be in Thailand. Yet, there have been no further details disclosed regarding its plot aside from the fact that a new group of guests will be checking in at a White Lotus resort property.
Lisa, as well as the rest of the BLACKPINK members, renewed their contract as a group with YG Entertainment but will pursue solo careers outside of the agency.
“We will do our utmost to support Blackpink’s activities, and we will cheer on the members’ individual activities with warm hearts,” said YG in a statement.
Upon the announcement, Jennie also launched her own label called ODDATELIER or OA. On February 08, Lisa introduced her new label called LLOUD through an Instagram post.
