Actress and It’s Showtime host Anne Curtis invited an Overseas Filipino worker who jokingly posted on social media platform X that “as an OFW” he will be going back home to the Philippines for Anne’s birthday.

This running joke started when Vice Ganda and Anne Curtis, in an episode of Tawag ng Tanghalan, discussed the hardest things OFWs go through, such as missing the family and missing important occasions.
“Alam mo, bukod sa hirap ng trabaho sa ibang bansa, ang pinakamahirap na hinaharap ng mga Pilipino doon ay yung pagka-miss nila ng mga pamilya nila sa Pilipinas. Yung [pagka] homesick, diba?” Vice said.
“Lalo na during Christmas or family celebrations that you are meant to be together,” Anne replied.
“Birthday mo,” Vice added.
To which Anne asked with a confused tone: “Birthday ko?”
Vice then asked her, “Sa tingin mo bakit ma mi-miss ng mga OFWs ang birthday mo?” and then proceeded with a joke that made Anne and the audience laugh.

Anne also invited other OFWs who shared with her that they will be coming back to the Philippines in time for Anne’s birthday.
